
Stats Perform raids IBM for SVP marketing hire
Sports data giant taps Wendy Lucas to lead marketing team after hiring Nancy Hensley in April 2020


Stats Perform has appointed Wendy Lucas as the sports data giant’s new SVP of marketing and design.
Lucas joins Stats Perform after more than 18 years with IBM, where she most recently served as director of the worldwide digital client success team from August 2019 until March 2021.
In joining Stats Perform, Lucas is reunited with former IBM colleague Nancy Hensley, who was appointed Stats Perform chief product and marketing officer in April 2020.
Lucas will be responsible for leading the marketing and design teams across Stats Perform in partnership with Hensley, who she will also report into.
Lucas officially started her new role on 1 March and is currently remotely working in Cincinnati. She will eventually be based in Stats Perform’s Chicago office.

Speaking to EGR, Lucas said the opportunity to join Stats Perform would allow her to combine both her marketing and sporting passions.
Lucas said: “Data, analytics and AI has been the common thread throughout my career. The chance to combine that experience with my passions for marketing and all things sports is a great opportunity.
