Pragmatic Solutions recruits Odobo founder as new CEO
Bet365 non-executive director Ashley Lang to lead API-based online gaming platform after leaving Lottomart

Gibraltar-based online gaming platform Pragmatic Solutions has recruited Odobo founder Ashley Lang as its new chief executive officer.
Lang joined the API-based network in May from lottery betting start-up Lottomart as he sought a return to the B2B sector. Pragmatic Solutions is the sister company of slots specialist Pragmatic Play.
Lang is an industry veteran who founded innovative tech hub Odobo before its acquisition by Playtech.
He is also a non-executive director for Stoke-headquartered bookmaking giant bet365 and worked as head of marketing for Mansion Group between 2004 and 2007.
On leaving Lottomart, Lang told EGR Intel: “I felt that this was a good opportunity for new leadership to take the business forward and for me to move away from a day-to-day role in the business.
“I recognised that I missed the B2B side of the industry and I really enjoy building and bringing great technology to market through B2B partnerships.
“This is what I left Lottomart to do and why I joined Pragmatic Solutions. From Lottomart, I gained a wealth of B2C experience that has made me more conscious of the operational demands of the B2C operator and excited about how we can streamline a business with intelligent technology.”
Lang will be working alongside CPO Chetan Pandya and head of operations Flavia Dumitru in his new role, with additional management appointments scheduled for the coming months.
Lang told EGR he was “blown away” by a demonstration of the Pragmatic Solutions technology platform, which made his decision to join the firm very straightforward.
“The core technology team and operations know-how were born out of the experience and scale of one of the industry’s largest multi-brand, multi-jurisdiction operators in Party Gaming,” said Lang.
“This expertise was then applied to the development of a modern, API-based, modular new technology solution that supports multiple brands, jurisdictions, languages, and currencies on a single back office.
“The entire system is rules-based so it allows the operator to build customer routines and automations to support marketing, player management and compliance in real-time,” he added.
