Neds signs wagering deal with APL
Agreement will see branding feature at over 200 men’s and women’s A-League matches

Gambling firm Neds, part of the Entain Group, has been named wagering sponsor of the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) in a two-year deal.
The APL is the newly formed governing body of both the women’s and men’s A-League football divisions, a creation that was announced in October to unify the two associations under one umbrella after both secured “legal and operational independence” from Football Australia at the end of 2020.
Neds will benefit from in-stadium signage rights at selected matches and sponsored content will feature on KEEPUP, a website and app launched in November featuring both domestic and international stories designed to appeal to the 8 million Australian football fans.
Additionally, Neds branding will feature prominently on A-Leagues’ social media posts and live match centres.
Neds CMO, James Burnett, said of the deal: “Neds is a young and dynamic player within a highly competitive category and with more than 200 matches across the men’s and women’s competitions. This partnership provides a strong brand opportunity and also a chance for A-Leagues’ fans to take their support to the next level.”
Neds is the latest to enter the A-Leagues’ stable of sponsors after agreeing naming rights with Isuzu in October and domestic media rights with Network 10 in May.
