
Dafabet scores EuroLeague Basketball sponsorship agreement
Sports betting operator seals one-season agreement to become league’s regional betting partner


Dafabet has put pen to paper on a one-season deal with EuroLeague Basketball to become its regional betting partner in Asia.
The agreement will run for the length of the 2020-21 season and cover both the EuroLeague and EuroCup competitions.
The partnership marks Dafabet’s first venture into basketball sponsorship and will see the operator afforded access to EuroLeague IP rights in Asia, as well as marketing opportunities during live game broadcasts.
Dafabet will also feature heavily across EuroLeague’s digital and social media platforms.
John Cruces, Dafabet head of sponsorships, said: “We’re very proud to be partnering with EuroLeague. Basketball is viewed worldwide and one of the most followed sports across all continents.
“By partnering with EuroLeague Basketball, we believe it will help us increase our global footprint,” he added.
Jordi Bertomeu, EuroLeague Basketball president and CEO, added: “The fact that [Dafabet] and other partners are coming to us from well outside our traditional markets shows again that the passionate brand of basketball played in the EuroLeague and the EuroCup is attractive well beyond the countries where our teams play their games.”
Dafabet’s sponsorship stable was bolstered this summer with the addition of top-flight Spanish football club Cádiz CF and two elite English cricket outfits.
