Four-time MLB All-Star Charlie Blackmon signs up as MaximBet ambassador
Rockies outfielder becomes first active MLB player to sign sportsbook deal

Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon has become the first current professional baseball player to sign a sports betting partnership deal, teaming up with Colorado-based MaximBet.
The four-time MLB All-Star has become MaximBet’s first active sports ambassador across the US’ four main sports.
Blackmon will feature across MaximBet marketing campaigns, fan events, promotions and social media.
As per MLB policy, Blackmon cannot promote baseball but he will be able to do so for the sportsbook in general.
Following the ending of the MLB lockout, Blackmon is the first major league player to take advantage of personal sportsbook and casino partnerships. Prior to this, partnerships could only be signed between leagues and teams.
Blackmon said: “As I learned more about MaximBet, I knew this absolutely the right brand for me.
“MaximBet has really attached itself to the local Colorado community and I cannot wait to have some fun with MaximBet and surprising fans with incredible experiences all season.”
Among these experiences, Miami-based artist Soles By Sir has teamed up with both MaximBet and Blackmon to create custom merchandise.
MaximBet CEO Daniel Graetzer said: “Charlie is one of the most revered Rockies players of all time and his style and career success makes him a perfect fit for MaximBet.”
MaximBet is owned by the Carousel Group and is based in Castle Rock, Colorado.
