Bet.Works ignites major recruitment drive ahead of Bally’s deal closure
New hires to help scale Bally’s B2B business and build out Rhode Island tech hub in 2021

Bet.Works is hiring for more than 100 positions across operations and development as it prepares to close its merger with Bally’s by the end of Q1 2021.
As part of the deal, the B2B sports betting platform will form a new interactive business under the Bally’s umbrella, incorporating its 220 employees.
“We’re going to significantly ramp it up over the next few quarters,” Bet.Works CEO David Wang told EGR NA.

“[These positions are] going to be across all three of our office locations, whether it’s Las Vegas or Atlantic City or Vancouver,” he added.
The new hires will allow the B2B arm of the Bally’s interactive division to scale and take on additional sportsbook clients.
“This transaction allows us to really scale our employee pipeline, so we’ll have a much larger team to innovate our products further and continue to be a leader,” Wang said.
“We’ll also have several contracts for new B2B partners to be announced very shortly,” he added.
“The clients that we’ve spoken to see this M&A activity as something positive for the B2B business.”
As part of its $125m acquisition of Bet.Works, Bally’s has announced plans to open a tech hub in its home state of Rhode Island later this year.
“We’ll look to broaden out the technology scope as Rhode Island has a unique talent pool of different folk from engineering to design and so forth,” Wang said.
“We will look to have at least 25 individuals in Rhode Island in 2021, and that is a very significant component of our organization going forward,” he added.
Wang said the group would look to launch in New Jersey, Colorado, Indiana and Iowa in the first half of the year, with retail sportsbooks to be added to a number of existing Bally’s casinos in Q2.
Media conglomerate Sinclair Broadcast Group will also start to rebrand its regional sports networks to Bally’s in Q2 in partnership with the casino group.
