
AGA exec joins GeoGuard as VP of government relations
Elizabeth Cronan will lead the geolocation tech supplier’s discussions with regulators as the business expands


Geolocation technology specialist GeoGuard has hired the former senior director for gaming policy at the AGA, Elizabeth Cronan, as its VP for government relations.
In her new role, Cronan will be tasked with maintaining close ties with regulators and governing bodies as it broadens its technology into new states.
She led the AGA’s AML and KYC initiatives for six years, ensuring the association remained compliant with state and federal financial regulations.
Cronan also spent time as director of global government relations for IGT and as Gambling Compliance’s legal and research director.
She acted as an advisor to GeoGuard’s igaming subsidiary GeoComply for three months in 2013.
Cronan wrote on her LinkedIn page: “ looking forward to working with an amazing team and an exciting year ahead!”
A statement by GeoGuard said: “Her experience and expertise will be critical as we apply our anti-fraud technology to the FinTech industry in 2020.”
GeoGuard’s geolocation spoofing detection technology is used in New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware.
