Oakvale Capital names ex-Rank director as latest VP
London-based VC consultancy adds industry experience to senior team as Elliot Berg onboarded
Oakvale Capital has appointed former Rank Interactive and Stride Gaming corporate development director Elliot Berg as VP.
Berg joins the boutique financial advisory firm from Rank Interactive where he served as director of corporate development and integration from October 2019.
Berg also had a four-year spell with Stride Gaming as director of strategy and corporate development between November 2015 and October 2019 before the platform was acquired by Rank for £115m.
He also worked as director for Aspers Online casino in a JV with Rank and as a director for Indian firm Passion Gaming which focuses on developing online rummy content.
Berg cut his teeth in the financial world with an eight-year spell at Grant Thornton UK, firstly as a corporate tax advisor before becoming an M&A associate director.
Berg joins Paco Gaspar, Yasser Rashid and Ines Bedoya in Oakvale’s VP ranks and will work alongside partners Daniel Burns and Sandford Loudon.

Oakvale has recently worked on major M&A moves in the industry such as IGT’s €160m all-cash deal to acquire iSoftBet and Broadway Gaming’s $50m purchase of 888’s bingo division.
