DAZN BET adds head of talent acquisition from Casumo
Challenger brand continues extensive headhunting efforts as Pete Everson links up with growing roster

DAZN BET has appointed former Casumo exec Pete Everson as its head of talent acquisition as the sportsbook gears up for its Q3 launch.
Everson joins the challenger brand from Casumo where he spent more than three years across a series of talent acquisition roles, culminating in his position as head of talent acquisition.
He originally joined Casumo in February 2019 as a talent acquisition partner before being named interim head of people in March 2020.
He was eventually promoted to head of talent acquisition in October 2020.
Prior to joining Casumo, Everson cut his teeth in the industry at Betsson in recruitment and HR roles.
In his role as head of talent acquisition, Everson will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new staff for DAZN BET as it looks to make a splash in the industry.
The venture, which is to be led by ex-BoyleSports CEO Mark Kemp as CEO, already boasts a wealth of industry talent on its roster.
Former Betdaq MD Shane McLaughlin has been named MD for UK and Ontario while ex-Flutter exec Matt Hartington has been appointed as director of legal.
Simon Gatenby, previously of Entain and William Hill, has been onboarded as chief marketing officer.
The DAZN BET sportsbook has been in the pipeline since former Entain CEO Shey Segev was named CEO of DAZN, and he began to lay the foundations for the brand.
Posting on LinkedIn, Everson said: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as head of talent acquisition at DAZN BET.
“We’ll be looking to grow the team rapidly over the coming weeks and months, so if you are interested in joining a future leader in the gaming space why not reach out for a quick chat,” he added.
