Sweden bans another two operators amid illegal marketing clampdown
List of banned operators reaches 26 with Luckywins and chilli777 added to the list

The Swedish Gambling Authority has added another two online gambling operators to its list of banned companies.
Luckywins.io and chilli777 have been added to the 26 companies found to be in breach of licensing laws in the country.
The websites of both firms were found to have marketing that explicitly targeted Swedish players.
The first of the bans, some of which date back to 2019, have been instigated for multiple reasons, including not possessing the correct licence to operate in the country as well as advertising to Swedish citizens without being permitted to do so.
The regulator previously announced the revocation of bans for seven companies: Direx NV, Disrupt Entertainment, Gammix Limited, Mountberg Limited, N1 Interactive Limited, Rebels Gaming Limited and Reinvet NV.
Spelinspektionen said: “According to the Swedish Gaming Inspectorate’s strategy, we prioritise measures that contribute to gambling taking place with the players who have a Swedish gaming licence.
“The Swedish Gaming Inspectorate therefore clarifies who engages in illegal online gambling by publishing decisions on bans on our website.”
Since regulating the market, Sweden has imposed strict gambling regulations with a number of bonus and deposit limits initiated throughout Covid-19 lockdowns and beyond.
Sweden has issued over 90 licences since the legislation of online gambling in 2019.
