Simplebet promotes from within for COO appointment
Product chief Mark Nerenberg steps up to oversee operations as supplier enacts personnel restructure

Simplebet has promoted its chief product officer Mark Nerenberg to become the supplier’s chief operating officer (COO).
Nerenberg has served as Simplebet chief product officer since November 2018 and will now take on wider responsibility across the firm in his new position.
He joined Simplebet from DraftKings, where he served as VP of games from July 2014 until November 2018.
With his promotion, Nerenberg steps up to fill the currently vacant COO position, which was previously held by Francesco Borgosano.
Borgosano, and fellow Simplebet alumnus Leo Gaspar, went on to co-found software provider Huddle.
Nerenberg will continue to be based in New York as part of a leadership team including CEO Chris Bevilacqua, CTO Simon Gershey, CFO Michael Kilduff and VP of people Kat Malkova.
In March 2021, Simplebet raised a further $15m in capital, taking its total fundraising efforts to more than $50m.
Simplebet has since signed partnerships with US operator giant DraftKings, with the Boston-based firm putting pen to paper on a multi-year deal to access micro-betting products for the NFL, MLB and NBA.
