Operator lands ex-SBTech and Playtech head Jeremie Kanter to replace William Chambers

William Hill has appointed former SBTech exec Jeremie Kanter as the operator’s new group compliance director, EGR can exclusively reveal.
Kanter joins Hills from Tech4S Group where he served as chief compliance officer from June 2020 until December 2021.
He previously spent time with London-listed supplier Playtech where he served as head of B2C and network services compliance from 2015 until 2018.
He also served as SBTech chief compliance officer from November 2018 until December 2019.
He joined Hills in late January and will be based at the operator’s Tottenham Court Road office. He will additionally work across the firm’s Gibraltar and Malta offices.
He replaces William Chambers who left Hills in October 2021 after a nine-month stint before moving onto Smarkets to become chief compliance officer at the betting exchange.
Kanter will be responsible for overseeing the compliance division at Hills and ensuring the operator continues to adhere to regulation and legislation across all its active markets.
Speaking to EGR, Kanter said: “I am excited to join the most iconic brand in the betting and gaming sector.
“I was drawn to William Hill by its deep desire to always go one better, and I look forward to actively contributing to its drive to achieve excellence in compliance,” he added.
