Holland Casino overcomes three-day delay to launch online offering
Domestic operator postponed digital betting access until 4 October but is now live with casino, sports betting and poker

Holland Casino has finally opened its digital doors to consumers in the Netherlands after its online launch was delayed by three days due to technical issues.
A glitch in the Netherlands Gambling Authority’s (KSA) self-exclusion platform (Cruks) meant licensed operators were prevented from launching online operations on the market go-live date of 1 October 2021.
Cruks was scheduled to go live at 5pm on 1 October but eventually launched on 2 October after the KSA discovered and rectified a malfunction.
However, the Cruks fault played havoc with Holland Casino’s own technical system and the domestic operator decided to postpone its digital launch until 4 October as a result.
The Dutch operator stated that initial player registration took longer than anticipated due to heavy site traffic.
“There is great interest in Holland Casino’s online games of chance,” the operator told customers in an update on its website.
“At peak times, registration can sometimes take longer than anticipated. It may then be decided to allow new players in phases at that time.
“However, Holland Casino’s customer service is fully occupied to help them as quickly and effectively as possible.
“Holland Casino has invested heavily in this offer because it sees digital transformation and innovation as essential for the future of the company,” it added.
The firm is now live with slots, live dealer casino including roulette and blackjack, online sports betting and poker.
It has also pledged to launch online bingo in the future.
