Allwyn taps Vodafone as latest partner for National Lottery bid
Sazka Group’s new UK corporate identity links up with tech and comms behemoth to explore 5G capabilities

Sazka Group’s UK-facing Allwyn brand has partnered with telecoms giant Vodafone ahead of its bid for the fourth National Lottery licence.
Vodafone will become Allwyn’s connectivity partner and will look to use its expertise in innovative technologies to play a future role in the UK National Lottery.
Vodafone has been tasked with implementing 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities for Allwyn’s bid, with the features earmarked to improve customer experience and enhance player protection structures.
Vodafone becomes the first company to partner with Allwyn ahead of its licence bid, with the group looking to oust incumbent Camelot.
Earlier this week, Allwyn appointed Twitter UK MD Dara Nasr to its all-star advisory board, which lends various industry expertise to bid chair Sir Keith Mills and his team.
Mills said: “With innovative partners like Vodafone, an experienced steward in Sazka Group, and an impressive advisory board that includes Justin King and Brent Hoberman, Allwyn is building an exciting and credible future proposition for the UK market.”
Anne Sheehan, Vodafone UK business director, added: “We have provided market-leading connectivity in the UK for more than 30 years, and we understand the technologies that enable the best, most cutting-edge experiences.
“With our innovative portfolio of 4G, 5G, IoT and fixed connectivity solutions, we can ensure in-app, online and retail journeys are simple and reliable for customers across the UK,” she concluded.
