Casumo product chief joins Ichiban Ventures
Former Casumo and Mr Green exec Chris Scicluna recruited by South East Asia-facing online casino start-up
Start-up igaming company Ichiban Ventures has recruited former Casumo head of product Chris Scicluna as its new chief product officer (CPO).
Scicluna spent more than six years at Casumo after joining as a product designer in 2015 before being promoted to product manager and then product lead.
He became head of product in July 2020.
Prior to Casumo, Scicluna worked for Mr Green as a product designer and product manager while based in Malta.
He boasts an undergraduate degree in business and computing from the University of Malta and a postgraduate degree in human computer interaction from the University of Hertfordshire.
Ichiban is set to become a South East Asia-facing B2C online casino firm. A “coming soon” message appears on the start-up’s official website.
An Ichiban spokesperson said: “Ichiban is working on some truly innovative and disruptive features as we reimagine the experience of playing casino online.
“Chris has a wealth of experience in product development and management in the sector and will spearhead an incredibly exciting pipeline.”
The business was co-founded by former Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) CEO Robin Reed.
Scicluna started at the firm in March 2021 and will be based in Malta in his new position.
