
STS strengthens esports ties with tournament marketing campaign
Polish bookmaker gears up for strategy shift by onboarding major CS:GO player and manager


Polish operator STS has launched a dedicated esports marketing campaign as part of a new brand positioning on the vertical.
The ‘Your World. Your Win’ campaign coincides with the beginning of IEM Katowice 2021, one the world’s largest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournaments.
IEM Katowice 2021 will run from 16 February to 18 February with 24 CS:GO teams competing for a $1m prize pool.
The campaign will feature esports stars including Polish CS:GO veteran Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas and current manager of Cloud 9, Henry “HenryG” Greer.
STS will unveil a combination of online and in-person advertising materials, including LED and large-format advertising in Katowice’s city centre.
There will also be a wealth of digital advertising across social media, as well as fan experiences to be made available.
The launch of the campaign further strengthens STS’ esports ties, with the operators already sponsoring Polish esports teams, leagues and players.
Paweł Rabantek, STS chief marketing officer, said: “As the leader in the Polish bookmaking market, STS has been investing heavily in esports for years. By launching the campaign during the IEM we can show how important the event is to Polish fans and the brand itself.
“We wanted to make sure that we could feel the atmosphere of esports in Katowice, even though the tournament is held without audience,” he added.
