Bet365 tops September Italian online betting rankings
Seven operators make a GGR loss for the month as the Stoke-headquartered operator garners revenue of €10.9m

Bet365 topped the Italian online sports betting rankings in September after fighting off stiff competition from Snaitech.
The Stoke-headquartered bookmaker reported gross gaming revenue (GGR) of €10.9m last month, narrowly ahead of the Playtech-owned Italian sports betting business (€10.3m).
SKS365 (€9.5m), Sisal (€8.9m) and Eurobet (€8.1m) rounded off the top five and were the only operators to bring in GGR of more than €8m for the month.
There was a significant gap between fifth placed Goldbet (€7.1m) and Lottomatica in sixth (€3.4m), while 49 operators failed to hit the million-euro mark.
Seven operators, including Marathonbet and SportPesa, made a GGR loss for September.
Bet365 also triumphed in the online turnover rankings for September, raking in €179m on a margin of 6.1%, to beat closest rival Eurobet (€87m) on a margin of 9.3%.
Bet365 obtained 24.2% market share as a percentage of online turnover last month and 14.4% of market share as a percentage of online GGR.
Italian operators both domestic and international have been left in limbo this month after the regulator (ADM) served up surprise termination notices due to legacy licence expiration dates.
