Tote inks horseracing betting deal with ATG
UK and Swedish operators team up on streaming agreement following Covid-19 closures

UK Tote Group and former Swedish monopoly operator ATG have agreed a deal to allow the Tote to offer betting on Swedish horseracing for the first time.
Tote commenced offering bets on all Swedish horseracing meetings on Friday, with an average of three race meetings taking place daily.
In addition, the UK operator will offer betting on the forthcoming thoroughbred racing season, which recommences this weekend after its annual March break.
Markets included in the deal include win, place and trifecta, however exacta markets will only be available on thoroughbred racing. The operators have also confirmed they are currently working on the integration of the Tote with the popular Swedish multi-leg V-bets, currently offered by ATG.
All Swedish horseracing will now be streamed on a watch-and-bet basis on the Tote website as part of the deal, with all new customers receiving a £10 free bet on Swedish racing.
UK Tote Group CEO Alex Frost said the deal was indicative of racing coming together to support the sector during the Covid-19 lockdown.
“We want to help increase interest in racing and via innovation and collaboration ensure pool betting can help drive revenue back to the sport,” Frost said.
“In addition to our work with ATG, we are in discussions with a number of other international partners which we look forward to providing an update on in the coming weeks,” he added.
Swedish trotting and thoroughbred racing associations host almost 1,000 race meetings every year taking place at 37 different venues across Sweden.
