
PointsBet NJ launches ‘bets you won’t believe’ marketing campaign
Operator worked with NBA star and brand ambassador Allen Iverson to produce its latest video ad which is live in New Jersey


PointsBet has produced a new marketing campaign for the NFL season around the concept of: “Bets you won’t believe, moments you’ll never forget”.
The first video, released online initially, features PointsBet brand ambassador and former NBA star Allen Iverson placing bets in a bar with friends.
PointsBet USA CMO Rick Martira told EGR the ad aimed to depict moments that are unique to people when they place a bet.
“We wanted to really bring that concept of making the experience memorable through moments you won’t forget and bets you won’t believe,” Martira said.
Martira said the firm will work the concept into to its app content to highlight some of the unique markets PointsBet offers.
The ads will be available via multiple digital channels in New Jersey, including YouTube and some terrestrial TV channels.
It will also be rolled-out in Iowa where PointsBet operates the retail sportsbook in the Catfish Bend Casino.
The campaign was first launched via Iverson’s social media accounts and will be adapted to suit coming sports seasons including basketball.
“This is the first domino to fall,” Martira said. “It’s not unique to football or basketball it can be applied to golf, cricket, darts you name it.”
PointsBet first signed Iverson as an ambassador last October ahead of its launch in New Jersey.
