Bet365 retains top spot in July Italian online betting rankings
UK betting giant reports GGR of €9m for the month ahead of closest challenger SKS365
Bet365 has topped the rankings for Italian online sports betting in July as the operator’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) hit €9m for the month.
SKS365 climbed back into second place with GGR of €5.6m, narrowly overtaking Playtech-owned retail giant Snaitech, which also ended July with €5.6m.
Eurobet (€4.9m) and Sisal (€4.9m) rounded off the top five, while Goldbet was the only other operator to bring in July revenues of more than €4m.
Bet365 once again dominated the rankings for turnover last month after raking in €166.6m, working on a margin of 5.5%, beating closest rival Snaitech, which turned over €44.8m.
The Stoke-headquartered betting giant grabbed 34% of market share as a percentage of turnover in July, once again ahead of Snaitech (9%), Eurobet (9%), SKS365 (7.9%) and Sisal (7.3%).
Overall GGR for Italy’s 18 biggest online betting operators totalled €44.9m last month.
The market is facing a period of uncertainty with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte having resigned this week.
