Black Type goes live in Ireland after “huge” Cheltenham
Operator ranked 10th in Oddschecker clickshare throughout the 2019 Festival

Black Type has launched in Ireland ahead of the Grand National Festival at Aintree which kicks off today.
The operator said the launch would help it continue its “huge progress” after a stellar Cheltenham Festival saw it post a 255% increase over the 2018 Festival.
“We are also delighted to welcome the Irish to BlackType.bet,” said Stephen Davison, Black Type COO.
“With Gordon Elliot set to saddle a quarter of the field in the Grand National on Saturday and Tiger Roll set to go off as one of the hottest favourites in living memory, we expect to see plenty of activity from Ireland!”
The Irish government recently announced plans to create a dedicated gambling regulator to reform the industry.
Davison added: “We are delighted with the clear progress we are making.
“Our uniqueness is that we are trying our best to be competitive on price on the sports we want to lay. We are not going to be competitive all the time and we pick our battles, but I would hope that we can be recognised for the fact we are trying to do things a little differently.
“We are very committed on price. If you check our price on the morning of the race on Oddschecker, we will be trying to lay a bet.”
The operator climbed into the top 10 for Oddschecker clickshare for Cheltenham last month.
