Playtech launches European shared liquidity poker network
London-listed supplier taps into shared poker liquidity agreement with new B2B network
Playtech today announced the launch of its shared-liquidity iPoker network in France and Spain.
The London-listed technology supplier has partnered with Betclic and Unibet in France, and bet365, Betfair, Casino Barcelona and Sportium in Spain.
According to Playtech, the product becomes the first B2B poker network to span across the two major European egaming markets and is the first network of its kind to go live since France, Spain, Italy and Portugal signed the shared liquidity agreement in July last year.
Playtech COO Shimon Akad said: “Sharing liquidity across major European markets represents a huge opportunity for the industry. This is a significant move forward for us, our operators and our players.
“The presence of six key operators as launch partners highlights the opportunities that exist, while also giving encouraging signs towards the future direction of the network.
“This move further reinforces Playtech’s position as a leader in regulated markets, as well as our continued commitment to poker,” he added.
Playtech added that the shared liquidity agreement could see the network go live in both Portugal and Italy in the future.
