Revealed: Alizeti’s new-look management team for Tote turnaround
Ian Penrose confirmed as strategic and operational advisor of Together for the Tote team

Alizeti – the racing consortium bidding to revitalise the Tote – has unveiled its new-look senior management team.
Industry veteran Ian Penrose has been confirmed as the consortium’s strategic and operational advisor, while Jamie Hart fills the head of product role after leaving Superbet in July.
Penrose was the CEO of Sportech until September 2017, where he led the firm’s transition into the US before being named non-executive director at Playtech last week.
Penrose will manage a team with expertise in the horseracing, betting, technology and finance sectors and will support CEO Alex Frost and chairman Eamonn Wilmott under the banner ‘Together for the Tote’.

The consortium also named Emma Crowe as marketing director. Crowe was previously regional marketing director at PokerStars, as well as head of customer marketing at Sky for Bingo and Poker.
Alizeti CEO, Alex Frost, said: “We have ambitious plans to grow the Tote and it is essential we build a world-class team of dedicated people who are focused on ensuring it has a successful future. I am really excited by the team we are putting together which contains individuals who bring vast experience and expertise from a range of sectors.”
Alizeti is still negotiating with britbet on exactly how pool betting will work in the UK following the end of the Tote monoply.
