Coral launches new desktop site
New site built on same technology stack as mobile product enabling product-sharing between the two
Coral has launched a new desktop site as the firm aims to bring its desktop offering in line with its mobile product.
The site was soft launched last week, with “no material impact” on customer experience during the changeover, according to the GVC-owned sportsbook.
“This desktop site has been built on the same technology stack as the mobile sportsbook,” Coral director of consumer PR Simon Clare said.
“The major benefit is that it inherits all the strong features that we have been releasing on mobile in recent months, and will continue to do so going forward as it shares the same code base.
“From now on our desktop customers will have an experience on a par with our Mobile customers, and of course those that use both will now receive one consistent customer experience on both platforms.”
Over the weekend for example, the Build Your Bet feature was made available to desktop customers for the first time, with Coral giving away 65,000 Build Your Bet on Championship matches.
The sharing of products also works the other way, with mobile customers now able benefit from desktop features like Tote betting.
Clare added: “The project has been a great success in terms of technical delivery with no material impact on customer experience during the changeover.
“A change of this nature can often prove a challenge for some customers, who were understandably well used to the previous desktop site but we have been very pleased with the feedback from customers on the new site, and the customer metrics have also been very positive since the migration.”
