Jamie Hart departs Superbet for Alizeti role
Former William Hill director says the opportunity to help revive the Tote was "too big to turn down"

Jamie Hart has left Superbet to take up a new role at Alizeti Capital – the racing consortium set to take over the Tote, EGR can reveal.
Hart joined the Romanian operator in February 2017 as group director of ecommerce, and pledged to “push new boundaries and open up fresh flexibility into sports betting.”
However, travel became an issue, with Hart spending a lot of time in Romania, Croatia, Serbia and Gibraltar, while his family and children are moving back to the UK.
The former Sun Bets and William Hill director also told EGR he could not turn down the opportunity to “rekindle an old heritage mark” in the form of the Tote.
“I’ll help out wherever I can with Superbet but I am now going to be throwing my weight behind trying to revitalise the Tote,” Hart said.
“Horseracing is a big passion of mine so it’s nice to be able to go back to it and the Tote has been underinvested in and unloved over the last 10 years.
“The opportunity to rekindle an old heritage mark was just too big to turn down really.”
Hart said he would be focused on the product side of things, adding: “At the moment they’ve got a lot of good tech guys and finance guys with racing backgrounds but they need some operational and product types.”
An official job title and start date is still to be determined, although Hart said he is expecting to start around August.
Superbet CEO Sacha Dragic confirmed the departure, saying Hart wanted to be in the UK, and Superbet need its senior management to be closer to central Europe.
