LeoVegas has unveiled Johnny Vegas as its new brand ambassador, with the British comedian set to appear in the firm’s new UK TV advertising campaign.
The operator’s new advert hits TV screens from today (22 February) and features Vegas and Leo the Lion as dolls on a Japanese shopping TV channel, as well as jumping out of helicopters over the Vegas strip.
The 90-second spot will be shown on mainstream channels, including ITV and Channel 4, and is the first part in a year of planned activity for the operator, with the pair set to star in a number of promotions throughout 2017.
LeoVegas described the British comedian as the “perfect fit” for its new marketing campaign.
“We’re absolutely delighted to have Johnny on-board for our marketing campaign and we can’t wait for everyone to see the new TV advert,” Shenaly Amin, UK country manager, said.
“Johnny’s comedic background adds a different dimension to the marketing campaign and he’ll definitely help us take the gaming scene to another level.”
The new advert was directed by Ninian Doff, and written by Now creative director, Harv Bains. The partnership was brokered by independent sponsorship agency CMSeven.
Yesterday, LeoVegas completed its first major M&A deal after acquiring Italy-facing operator Winga from Paf for €6.1m.
