FrontRow enabled players to purchase tickets from their local lottery retailers, scan the code into the cell phone using the FrontRow app, and pick from a variety of sports and games.
Once the player has selected a contest, they can then pick their favorite teams and the app automatically assigns a roster based on their choices.
Once the games has started, customers can follow the progress on their mobile device in real-time. If they win, the customer can take their ticket back to the retailer and claim their prize.
âFrontRow is designed for lotteries to capitalize on a huge gap in Fantasy Sports currently,â Jay Aird, co-founder and CIO of Karma Gaming, said.
âThe game is designed for the casual sports fan, not the sharks. Simply pick your favorite teams and receive players to cheer for based on your selections.
And because rosters are assigned automatically, all customers have the same odds of winning, not just the sharks. No extensive research required, no friction, just fun,â he added.
FrontRow can be used by lotteries not permitted to operate online because the ticket is purchased and redeemed at the land-based retailer.
For those lotteries that are permitted to offer products over the internet, Karma said the app can be extended to allow online purchase and redemption.
